Buffalo Street Residence (BSR) provides clients with the skills and supports they need to achieve a productive, pro-social lifestyle. BSR assists clients’ transition to the community by offering individual counselling, group programs, and employment services. BSR can accommodate up to 11 clients on Day Parole, Statutory Release, and Unescorted Temporary Absences (UTA’s).
All applications requesting residency at BSR are screened by the Brant Community Assessment Team, a group of community volunteers and local police.
Clients participate in group programs based on their correctional plan and individual needs. BSR provides the following programs (available only to clients residing at the residence):
- Counterpoint
- National Substance Abuse Program -NSAP Low
- NSAP Maintenance Program
- Community Maintenance Program

- Aboriginal substance abuse counselling
- Reflections group
- Employment counselling
- Crisis support
