The Student Career Resource Centres offer job search assistance and job search and career planning strategies to secondary school students.
Services include one on one employment counselling, resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, apprenticeship, labour market and skilled trade information, access to job postings, and the internet.
The centres are fully equipped with computers, fax machines and telephones and access to photocopiers.
Workshops are delivered on employment related topics such as Apprenticeship, Resume, Cover Letter, Interviewing techniques, Career Exploration, WHMIS and Smart Serve.
Teachers are invited to utilize the centres resources as well as schedule workshops for their students with the Employment Counsellor.
All services are free.
Hours of Operation:
Assumption: Mondays, Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
St. John’s: Wednesdays 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m.
BCI: Available by appointment, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Dunnville: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
GELA: Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tollgate: Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. |
