POLICY

St. Leonard’s Community Services is committed to the protection of its staff from harm as a result of excessive alcohol consumption at Agency-sponsored events. 

PROCEDURE

The following preventative measures will be in place at such events where alcohol is available:

1. Participants will be advised not to drink and drive at the beginning of the event.
2. The availability of complementary taxi rides will be announced and advertised throughout the event.
3. Where possible, a certified bartender or server will be in attendance to serve alcoholic drinks.
4. Where tickets are sold for alcoholic drinks, there will be no discount pricing.
5. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available at all events.
6. Food will be served at all events.
