Appendix 31 JOB VALUATION TEAM - TERMS OF REFERENCEApproved January 2009
- MANDATE
To make recommendations to the Management Team regarding job descriptions, job values and the Job Valuation Policy.
- COMPOSITION
- 5 staff who are representative of all sectors and levels of the Agency and approved by the Management Team,
- Human Resources Administrator,
- Executive Director,
- Director of Finance,
- Chairperson – Human Resources Administrator,
- Secretary – the Team will choose from among the members at the September meeting.
- LENGTH OF TERM
The length of term for staff representatives will be no longer than three years with a minimum of two staff turning over annually. The Executive Director, Director of Finance and Human Resources Administrator are permanent members of the committee.
- QUORUM
A quorum will consist of no less than four committee members, one of whom must be a permanent member.
- DECISION MAKING
All decisions will be determined by consensus.
- SCHEDULE
The committee will meet at least quarterly or at the call of the chairperson.
- AUTHORITY
The Job Valuation Committee is a standing committee of St. Leonard’s Community Services reporting to the Management Team.
- ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To monitor job descriptions to ensure consistency.
- To value Agency jobs.
- To report issues and recommend amendments regarding the Job Valuation Policy.
- To review Pay Equity Plan annually in September and recommend any revisions.
