Appendix 32  MANAGEMENT TEAM - TERMS OF REFERENCE
Approved April 2004

1)         MANDATE

Make recommendations to the Board of Directors with respect to the mission, goals, policies and programs of St. Leonard's Community Services and to implement programs as directed by the Board.

2)         GOALS

  1. Provide a forum for Service Directors to evaluate Agency needs and establish plans to address these needs.
  2. Provide a forum for Service Directors to share information regarding individual programs and communicate common concerns.

3)         COMPOSITION

  1. Service Directors of St. Leonard's Community Services,
  2. Chairperson - Executive Director,
  3. Executive Assistant.

4)         QUORUM

A quorum will consist of not less than three Service Directors and the Executive Director or his Delegate.

5)         MOTIONS

A majority of Service Directors present will carry a motion to the Executive Director for presentation to the Board of Directors.

6)         LOCATION

Meetings will be held at the St. Leonard's Community Services, boardroom, unless otherwise determined by the Management Team.

7)         SCHEDULE

Meetings will be held monthly.

8)         DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Keep abreast of Agency needs and make recommendations to the Board of Directors with respect to meeting those needs.
  2. Develop the Annual Agency Operating Plan.
  3. Keep abreast of developments and social issues as they relate to the Agency's programs and recommend appropriate action to the Board of Directors.
  4. Annually review the mission, goals, programs, Policies and Procedures of the Agency.
  5. Ensure that the mission, goals, programs and policies of the Agency are adhered to.

9)         AUTHORITY

The Management Team is a Standing Committee of St. Leonard's Community Services, established by the Board of Directors.

The Management Team will report through the Executive Director or his delegate to the Board of Directors.

The Management Team's authority is strictly limited to the making of recommendations to the Board of Directors and the implementation of policies as specifically directed by the Board.
