Appendix 36 SUPERVISION TRAINING COMMITTEE - TERMS OF REFERENCE

MANDATE
To ensure all staff are trained in the quality application of the St. Leonard’s Community Services Staff Supervision Model
-
COMPOSITION
- The Committee will consist of a minimum of 6 people representing a cross-section of departments and specifically including members from both residential and non-residential programs.
- The Committee will choose from among the members a Chair Person and Secretary at the September meeting.
- TERM
The length of term for staff representatives will be no longer than three years, with a minimum of two staff turning over annually.

QUORUM
A quorum will consist of not less than 4 people.

DECISION MAKING
All decisions will be determined by consensus.

SCHEDULE
Frequency, times and length of meetings will be set by the committee.

AUTHORITY
The Supervision Training Committee is a standing committee of St. Leonard’s Community Services reporting to the Management Team.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To develop and maintain a training curriculum in the SLCS Staff Supervision Model.
- To develop and offer Supervisor training at least annually.
- To provide orientation in the Staff Supervision Model to all new staff as part of the SLCS Agency Orientation at least four times per year.
- To deliver the training.
- To evaluate the training and report to the Management Team.
- The Chair of the team is to notify the Human Resources Administrator of any changes to the membership.
