6-420 VACATION PAY – PART TIME STAFF POLICY Part time staff are paid vacation pay calculated in accord with Employment Standards Act, 2000 based on the following rates: PROCEDURE Service Period Vacation Pay Rate Less than 1 year 5% Fiscal years 1 through 3 6% Fiscal years 3 through 5 7% Fiscal years 5 through 10 8% Fiscal years 10 through 15 9% Fiscal years 15 and over 10% Vacation entitlement for staff will increase on the start date of employment with the Agency in the applicable fiscal year. Vacation pay will be paid out annually included in the final pay for March. A staff can request payment of accrued vacation pay through the year by providing the request in writing to the Payroll Administrator by the Friday preceding the pay date.
