6-630 YEARS OF SERVICE AWARDS

POLICY
St. Leonard’s Community Services recognizes that the high standards and quality of the services it provides is dependent on the contribution, effort and loyalty of the staff. To express its appreciation to its valued staff, the Agency will recognize years of service through a program of service awards. This program provides award choices which reflect staffs’ tastes, needs and lifestyles.
The years of service awards will be based on the anniversary date of employment, and recognized in increments of five years. For each five-year increment, the program offers a collection of items from which eligible staff may select. The value of the award increases in proportion to years of service.
PROCEDURE
- Eligible staff will be contacted by the Human Resources Administrator to make his/her award selection.
- Staff will review the award selection and forward the completed order form to the Human Resources Administrator.
PRESENTATION OF AWARDS
Awards will be presented at the semi-annual Staff Appreciation Luncheons. Staff with anniversary dates between November 1 and February 28 will receive his/her award at the February Staff Appreciation Lunch. Staff with anniversary dates between March 1 and October 31 will receive his/her award at the October Staff Appreciation Luncheon.
For those staff who are unable to attend the Staff Appreciation Luncheon, alternative arrangements will be made to receive the award in consultation with the Human Resources Administrator.
