16-24, 24+ will be assessed on an individual basis with criteria such as disability considered.
Not attending school (enrolled in two credits or less, distance studies, English as a Second Language (ESL) and Literacy are acceptable)
Not working or working less than 15 hours a week
Not receiving Employment Insurance benefits

Program Description
|
Participants work closely with an employment counsellor to achieve goals as identified in a personalized action plan. Goals may include career decision-making, skills identification, return to school or training, apprenticeship information. Assistance may be available to provide training supports (i.e. job search or work related expenses such as work boots, clothing, certifications, etc).
Assistance includes referral to appropriate services to address personal needs or stabilization issues.
Follow-up is conducted at 3, 6 and 12 months to ensure success in the transition to work.
Hours of Operation: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. |
