Stop Now and Plan (SNAP™)

What is SNAP™?

SNAP™ stands for Stop Now and Plan. The 8-week program helps children between the ages of 9 - 12 years to control impulsivity, think about the consequences of their behaviour and develop a socially appropriate plan.

"We feel much better as a family unit at the end of these sessions."

Is SNAP™ for us?

SNAP™ is for families.  Both parents and children are expected to participate. Children that show any of the following behaviours will benefit from SNAP™.

  • Displays aggressive behaviour.
  • Has personal or family encounters with the police, or is at risk of doing so.
  • Demonstrates negative or anti-social behaviour.

How can SNAP™ help our family?

SNAP™ is successful because it involves the participation of both parents and their children. SNAP™ provides this opportunity through the Kids Club and Parents Support Group.
