Our Youth Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST) focuses on providing short-term crisis stabilization to children and youth under age 18, and their families.  Youth COAST staff can meet with you in the environment of your choice, such as at home or school. The team makes initial contact within 48 hours of receiving a referral.

Youth COAST works to:

  • Improve the quality of the life for children, youth, and families by decreasing the incidents of crisis
  • Provide parents and caregivers with skills to better handle family situations and increase their confidence in responding to behaviour in a positive way
  • Strengthen coping skills
  • Provide referrals to internal and external resources that will build family resilience
  • Reduce the need for ongoing counselling intervention

To make a referral to COAST, complete the COAST Referral Form and sent fax to (226) 401-3823, or call our Crisis Phone Line at (519) 759-7188.

To respond to higher-risk situations, COAST partners with Brantford City Police and Brant County OPP.
