Steps to Change will provide clients with practical information, strategies and tools on relapse prevention.
Goals
- To increase skills in the areas of identifying triggers and managing cravings, roles and relationships, effective communication, managing negative thoughts and emotions, effective refusal, managing criticism, problem solving, rewarding my successes, new ways to enjoy life, recommitting after a slip and social supports & community resources
- To develop a clear relapse prevention plan focusing on their own high-risk situations
Structure: 12 week psycho-educational, open format (can join group at any week)
Stage of Change: Preparation/Action
Referral Process: Requires an internal referral from a Counsellor.

Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
