Residential Treatment is a 5-week live in program for people who are 16 and up who want to make changes to their use of substances. We have separate programs for those who identify as female and those who identify as male. Participants access both group and individual support that uses Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural approaches to help them meet their recovery goals.  The group program allows participants to engage with others to learn about and discuss topics like:

  • Managing cravings and urges
  • Effective communication
  • Disrupting habits
  • Managing anxiety
  • Social supports
  • Rewarding successes

Participants accessing the program should have an identified recovery goal (harm reduction or abstinence) and be prepared to abstain while in the program.

Participants need an assessment and referral to access this program.  Referrals can be emailed to RTintake@st-leonards.com.

Referrals should include:

  • Referral Cover Sheet
  • Consent to obtain and release information
  • GAIN Q3 Recommendation and Referral Summary
  • Diagnostic Impression Report

Residents of Brantford/Brant can receive assistance completing these documents from staff at our Fairview Drive location (519) 754-0253.
