COVID-19 – group offered online

MasterMinds focuses on teaching skills within Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and how they can be applied to help individuals with both mental health difficulties and substance use.

Goals:

  • To learn and improve skills is the areas of mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance
  • To practice these skills in a group setting so that participants can use these skills in real-life situations to deal with substance use cravings, manage anxiety or depression, and improve interpersonal relationships
     

Structure:  8-week skills training, open format. Once attendees have attended all 8 weeks, they will receive a certificate of completion. The 8 sessions do not have to be attended in order, or all at once.

Stage of Change:  Preparation /Action

Referral Process:  Requires an internal referral from a Counsellor.
