MasterMinds focuses on teaching skills within Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and how they can be applied to help individuals with both mental health difficulties and substance use.
- To learn and improve skills is the areas of mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance
- To practice these skills in a group setting so that participants can use these skills in real-life situations to deal with substance use cravings, manage anxiety or depression, and improve interpersonal relationships
Structure: 15-week skills training, closed format. Weekly attendance is required and a certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the group.

Referral Process: Requires an internal referral from a Counsellor.
Day/Time/Location: Wednesdays, 2:00pm – 4:00pm at 135 Elgin St.
Legal Status: Voluntary or Probation, Parole, CAS referral
