Steps to Change (Women)
Steps to Change 2.0 will provide clients with practical information, strategies and tools on relapse prevention.
- To increase skills is the areas of identifying triggers and managing cravings, roles and relationships, effective communication, managing negative thoughts and emotions, effective refusal, managing criticism, problem solving, rewarding my successes, new ways to enjoy life, recommitting after a slip and social supports & community resources.
- To develop a clear relapse prevention plan focusing on their own high-risk situations.
Structure: 12 week psycho-educational, open format
Stage of Change: Preparation/Action
Referral Process: Requires an internal referral from a Counsellor.
When: Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Where: 225 Fairview Drive, Unit #1, Brantford
Legal Status: Voluntary or Probation, CAS referral
Gender: Females only
