Monday to Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm (some weekends and evenings)
Contract duration: one year
Duties
Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, Employment Ontario services are available to assist both job seekers and employers.
As an Employment Outreach Worker, you will:
- Support the Skills Development Fund (SDF) Program with community outreach.
- Attend events and market the skilled trades.
- Develop promotional material to share at community events.
- Deliver workshops for the SDF project.
- Provide administrative support, collecting documents and signing client support requests.
- Assist the team with checking participant attendance.
Training: Initial comprehensive training related to all aspects of the role, as well as access to ongoing professional development
A note about COVID-19: Our Agency is committed to the safety of staff. We are following Public Health guidance on precautions regarding use of Personal Protective Equipment, screening of staff and clients, physical distancing, cleaning, hand hygiene, and testing. Qualifications
- Have a college diploma in the Human/Social Services or Business field
- Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a related field
- Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases
- Have access to reliable transportation
- Be able to manage occasional exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
- Provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (minimum 3 doses)
