Mechanical Assembler

Full Time Permanent 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Job Duties: 
  • Interpret engineer drawings and specifications
  • Fasten or install wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies
  • Aligns components for assembly, manually or with hoist, and bolt, screw, and rivet parts together, using hand and power tools
  • Inspect, operate, and test completed machines to verify functioning, machine capabilities, or conformance to customer specifications
  • Set and verify parts clearances Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies
  • Work safely at all times and maintain a safe work area
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Post-secondary diploma or certification in a related field preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Mechanical Assembly and in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude with the ability to work independently with little supervision
Bus Route: 

Work Conditions

  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses etc.
  • Use lifting and moving equipment (Crane, slings and straps)
  • Overtime as required
