Youth Resource Centre

The Youth Resource Centre is committed to providing support and encouragement to youth in our community who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
WHAT YOUTH CAN EXPECT:
- Safe shelter, warm bed, food and support.
- Emergency, short and long-term accommodation for youth aged 15 to 19.
- Weekly visits with a Nurse Practitioner to ensure access to health services and support.
- Assistance with securing long-term housing.
OUR PROGRAM
Life Skills Coach: Available through the week to meet individually with to help with resume building, employment opportunities, financial literacy, apartment searching and other essential life skills such as cooking, hygiene, and household chores.
Planning: Youth meet weekly with their Counsellor to set individual goals and a plan to achieve them.
Daily Check-Ins: Staff are available every day so youth can talk about how things are going, celebrate successes and plans for the day.

To work on their individual goals with the support of staff.

Eligibility Criteria
Age: 15-19
Legal status: No acceptable alternative housing arrangements
Gender: Male or female
