Gender Equality (HUB)

The Gender Equality Program (formerly known as the Girls’ Group) empowers young women to lead healthy and impactful lives.

The goal of the program is to educate, support and challenge female participants to explore risk factors that have brought them in conflict with the law, and empowers them to make positive, healthy decisions about their lives and future relationships.

Modules include:

  • Gender Roles
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Healthy Sexuality
  • Bullying
  • Gang Awareness
  • Rights and Self Esteem
  • Life Journey

Selection of module(s) and sub-modules to be used is determined through an interview, an assessment of risk/need and review of supporting documentation, in collaboration with the client’s identified goals.

The Gender Equality Program is up to 7 modules and is offered  one to two times per week and each module is 1 hour in length.

Hours of operation Monday- Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Evening appointments available upon request.)
